Controller/ navigating live issue

Hey all, I guess there was a recent MS network issue preventing people from signing in. A day and a half went by and I managed to sign in with my cell phone using the "other device" method on the screen with the code provided. Since this server issue, Ive been having problems navigating the xbox live home pages on my xbox one s. The curser skips/jumps apps and tabs and on certain pages, slides to the right and gets stuck there rendering the joystick useless. I can still back out of the page(B) or select tabs(A). Im fairly confident this isnt a controller issue, since if I manage to bring up the keyboard, the controller navigates perfectly fine....no skipping letters, numbers, etc...anyone seen this before? Is there a cure?

For your issue, I would recommend you to power reset your console, please:

1. Turn off your console and your router/modem.
2. Unplug all the cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc..) and wait 2 minutes.
3. After 2 minutes, plug all the cables in again on your router/modem and wait for all the lights to show up.
4. Plug all the cables on your console and turn it on.

If the issue persists, please try to factory reset it:

Settings > System > Console info > Reset this xbox > Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note: the "Reset and keep my games and apps" option will not make you lose your games, but you will need to sign in to your account again.

I have the same exact problem but can navigate the power menu so it is not a controller issue. I have tried other controllers and even a keyboard. Still can't navigate the troubleshooting menu.

Once the issue begins I cant navigate to the app through the console. As the automatic inputs prevent me from navigating down to accessories. It does do it with multiple controllers however.

I've tried syncing a second controller and even with it, it still auto inputs A on certain screens.

I can get to the troubleshooting menu but I am unable to navigate the menu to get to the option to reset. I have tried multiple wireless controllers, a wired controller, and a keyboard. None of them will navigate that menu. I can navigate the power menu to shut it off so it isn't a controller issue. Customer support was useless and rude. Suggested I pay someone to fix it. Hello? Your update caused it. You fix it for free.
