Controller malfunctioning out of the box????????

I bought a brand new xbox one controller, went into F1 2019 only to discover that the trigger gives 100% input before I fully depressed the trigger, so I did a calibration test to discover the same is happening, I updated the firmware and tested both the
calibration and F1 2019 again to discover the same issue persists, to be exact there are nearly 2-3mm of travel in excess of 100% input, how do I fix this

No the accessories app does not have options to fix my issue

Thanks for coming to the forums. You can try the accessories app on the PC. There you can make a lot of different adjustments. Let us know how it goes.

Sounds like your having a problem with the box - if the box was knocked over that will cause these rings on the game disks.

If the xbox is making the scratches with out being moved, or hit then there is a malfunction with the unit.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that the left joystick on your Xbox One S controller is not functioning correctly. We have

a support article which provides solutions for this type of issue. Generally, the controller will need a repair order if the joystick is not working. The warranty for a standard Xbox One S controller is 90 days. As long as the controller is still in warranty,
you can create a repair order on the
Microsoft device website or by
contact support. Be sure to let us know the results!

Do you have other controllers that are working wirelessly on your console? If so it may be that controller is malfunctioning and if it is out of warranty it will probably be less expensive than trying to get it repaired. Good Luck!
