Controller left stick off-center

I recently received my controller that I order on Microsoft.com. I opened it and plugged it into my PC for calibration. I started up AC Competizione and the steering was slightly off to the right. Even in the calibration software it was ff-centered and to
the right. Looking at the controller, it does seem that the stick is off-center. Does anyone have a fix for this? Or do I just have to wait for a replacement (I've already sent in a replacement request)?

I also don't like running deadzone and reducing my steer speed, as it hinders my reactivity when catching oversteer or reacting to rammers. I like being able to make adjustments big and small instantly.

I'm not sure if the game your playing has this setting, but look for a setting called 'dead zone' If you adjust your deadzone with too much sensitivity it can drift in a certain direction even without you touching the controller. The severity depends on
the game and the settings. So if your game has that capability, try to turn the deadzone sensitivity down. Also, try playing a free game and see if it happens there as well. If it does and my suggestion doesn't work, I would return it.

I don't think my controller has a drift issue - I'm pretty sure it's the spring within the stick that doesn't put it in the proper center of the stick when it's at rest.

If the controller has a drifting issue then you will have to wait for the replacement. There really is no fix for drifting issues that I know of.

If you use a controller a lot, sometimes the stick (left or right) doesn't center properly after being pushed in any direction, which can cause it to make things move on screen. If things are moving up rapidly, try moving the stick slightly down, and then
let go of it to try and center it.

Also, if you turn on your Xbox and you happen to have a stick pushed in a direction, and not centered, that can really throw off the way the stick behaves.
