Controller lagging, what else can I try?

I have the xbox app downloaded but am not using any games from it, I only use steam atm, I am using windows 11, 3060 gpu, lag has been happening for about 2 months when using bluetooth on call of duty but was fine withba cable, no tober games were affected, it is. Now happening on other games, works fine with usb though, no error codes

I know what you're talking about. It's a form of lag. Basically, your onscreen movements aren't what you're hands are inputting. I FEELS like someone else is controlling your player.

I haven't tried playing any other game online. I can try tonight. I've heard of video lag, but I don't see any lag from when I push a button on the controller to what my player is doing on the screen.

I agree. What was being described isn't lag compensation (and people should shut up about it) at all.
