Controller keeps losing sync after factory reset

FYI- solved it by doing a factory reset. Power down the console completely. Then hold the power button, dvd eject button and the controller sync button at the same time. You'll see a screen and use the controller to select factory reset but then select
keep all apps.

You won't lose saves as they are synced to the cloud, but before you do a reset, what issue are you having? you might not have to do a factory reset

I have done a factory reset now, but the controllers can still not be synced.

Press and hold the sync button (on the left side of xbox) and the eject button (on the front) and tap the power button once while holding sync and eject. Wait until you hear the second beep to release the sync and eject. This will take you to the factory reset screen then click reset to factory settings. There is an option to either reset and keep all games and apps or reset fully to original factory settings. Hope this helps!
