Controller Issue and Bluetooth module

Do you have any suggestions for me please let me know and my problem is I have 3 controllers and I use one when I watch a streaming apps like couple hours and the controller shut off after a few minutes. If I open Fortnite and I have player 2 join thing

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you are using one of your controllers to watch streaming apps and they automatically shut down after few minutes. This is a normal behavior of the controller to save battery where it automatically turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Can you further elaborate your issue when playing Fortnite?

Original Xbox One controllers have no Bluetooth module. This was added to the Xbox One S and then included in all subsequent Xbox console controllers.

the controller uses bluetooth for other devices but the xbox console does not have bluetooth, it uses a proprietory wifi for connecting to controllers. this is different to general wifi too.

if you have an external hdd plugged in, then unplug and try again, some external devices draw more power which cause issues as the wifi module is on the same bus as usb.

if this is on pc or laptop then it is down to the bluetooth module/dongle not being very good, i had the same issue and had to purchase a descent bluetooth dongle.

some bluetooth modules on pc's are a bit hit and miss and can cause this issue, i bought the wireless adapter and have zero issues, i used to run wired but sick of the wire.

the series controller seems to work pretty well.
