Controller is hypersensitive on Xbox Home Screen

Even though it’s a new controller, I’ve updated it and it’s been working great for a month or 2. But recently it’s extremely hyper sensitive on the joysticks and the d pad on the Home Screen as if I press the d pad once it’ll go 3 times but in games it’s fine. I’ve tried everything to fix it but it won’t work. I don’t want to bin it as it cost me £50 so does anyone know how to fix it?

I see, can you try downgrading the controller one more time?

After that (and without updating the controller again) pair your controller with the console and give it a new try

My Xbox is not on any beta that I know of and when I load up a game the problem stops until I go on the Home Screen. It still happens when the controller is plugged in.

Are you not using an insider build / beta OS in your console, right?

And just to confirm, once you open a game or app the problem with the controller persists or not at all?
Also, connecting the controller wired fix the problem or even in that way the issue persists?

Hi, so... If you use the old Xbox 1 controller. Are you not able to experience the problem ?

If not, we can try to isolate the problem a bit more.
Please try pairing your controller (the one with the problem) with a different Xbox console or with a mobile phone and check how it goes there

If maybe the issue persists. This can be a bit odd but do you have USB accessories connected to your console?

If yes, please disconnect everything except, of course. The HDMI and the power cable and after that try again
