    Controller inputs not processing in game through companion app


    Had this issue beforehand, and was fixed by updating windows the other day. Now I’m having the same issue, where my controller works fine in the menus but not on the disc i am using. I’m connected via the windows 10 companion app on my new xbox one using
    a wireless controller, and it has worked fine before, and also had this happen twice, once solved and another fixed itself after a few moments. So I am unsure what to do as I re-checked for updates and there are none, furthermore I play with no other apps
    open so nothing else interferes.

    Upon inserting another disc and loading up that game, i was forced to sign in despite being signed in already, so i believe it to be issues with the controller being signed in. To stop this from happening again, are there any suggestions as it has normally
    worked but not always

    You can install the Xbox Console Companion app through the Microsoft Store app. Open the Microsoft Store app then input at the top part of the app "Xbox Console Companion, it should show up as available to install.

    Hi there,

    If you press the menu button (the small one with 3 horizontal lines on it to the right of the Guide button) on the controller that should work as and enter/submit button.

    Also, check that you don't have a device (phone, tablet, etc.) connected to your console through the Console Companion App acting as a keyboard input.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to answer that.

    Unfortunately you cannot plug in the Xbox One into your laptop and use the laptop as a display. Also there is no app or program that would convert the HDMI port on your laptop to an input source rather than an output source.

    Your only option would be to use the game streaming through the Xbox Console Companion app. I would re over these two support articles on how to improve streaming:
