    Controller input lasting longer than it should


    I’m part of the 50% who got the new dashboard in the beta ring. My console is an Xbox One X with the Seagate 8tb Hub, if that helps at all.

    Since the update, I’ve noticed that both in dashboard and in game, my left stick will generate phantom inputs for a few seconds.

    The most noticeable examples are my character walking an extra step or two after letting go of the stick. That, or, pause menu rapidly scrolling through the available options in the list.

    It will stop be itself within two seconds or if I touch the stick again. It also doesn’t always happen but it’s frequent enough that it’s noticeable that something’a wrong. For the record, I tried a different pad and it’s the same issue.

    Ah... well. Thanks for your time. My last question for you is if you know of others who have had this issue, and if there is some other controller I should invest in to last longer than a year of gaming. I technically used my mouse more than my controller this year, so its really confusing.

    I agree this should be fixed. If anything it might as well be a cause for product recall due to manufacture defect. A controller should last a lot longer than a year!!

    Rumors surrounding a V2 Elite controller, say its been scrapped and won't be coming this generation at all.

    I recall them advertising the One controllers as better than the 360 controllers. Like, they've gone through all that testing and should last longer and all that. I don't know, the LS on my controller seems to be getting "sawed off", I expect it to start
    getting stuck any time now. And that certainly was faster than any of my 360 controllers...
