    I’ve had my XSX(Xbox Series X) since the september of 2023, and about 2-4 months ago when I was inactive, because I wasn’t mashing buttons, it just basically turned off in 15 minutes. Today I have played astroneer a lot, but the controller turned off because of inactivity, and I wasn’t pushing buttons because I was playing with KAM(Keyboard And Mouse), and had to turn on the controller every fifteen minutes, and it is so frustrating because there isn’t even an option to disable it. Now don’t get me wrong, I like the Microsoft and it’s consoles, but microsoft has made the xbox turn off by a limited time that you can set, but the developers weren’t at the mood of making a setting for the controller too. And now I have tried out every single thing(okay not everything because that is impossible as there is limitless videos about it online), and YES I have tried out the cable one which is basically that you connect a USB cable to the controller directly from the console, and you know what happened? The controller turned off in 15 minutes. I tried setting the setting for automatic turn off to never turn off, but you know what that setting is for? The console to turn off, not the controller. There is basically no such thing I can do about it, but I just wanted to ask if there might be a way. Thanks to all replies.

    When I connect the controller via USB should it be powered off or should it turn on automatically as I plug it? Because the last one's happening and when I do the "hold down the controller's Xbox and menu buttons for

    As I plug the USB the controller turns on already blinking.

    a wired controller might be the solution as I'm pretty sure they don't automatically turn off due to inactivity

    Yes, you will need the controller linked to the console to be able to use some games even when you are using Keyboard and mouse, if you are having issues because the controller turns off after sometime, plug it to the console trough USB cable, this will prevent the automatic turn off

    You could plug your controller into your Xbox as well and that should stop the controller from turning off due to inactivity I believe.

    The Xbox One controller will auto turn off after a period of inactivity and I don't think it is possible to deactivate this feature. The only way to stop the controller from turning off is to either perform an action on the controller or to connect it to
