    Practically what happens is that when my controller turn off after going afk for a bit my mic stops working. (There’s nothing wrong with the mic) then if you turn off the controller the controller turns back on and doesn’t react to the Xbox. (Also the Xbox connnect controller thing doesn’t work during this time either but works when this isn’t happening) Turning off the Xbox also doesn’t work and I have to un plug it and plug it in again. Which gets annoying considering I’m re playing the walking dead and have to go back unnecessarily. Has anyone had this problem or does Microsoft just hate my **** or smth I swear

    Yes i have.. both of my controllers are up-to-date.. it's not that the headset doesn't work.. it's just that if it's plugged into one controller and i decide to use another controller after the one i am using has died it just doesn't register and i have

    Hi XperiCactus, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    I have experienced this once but I was able to fix it by performing a powercycle on the console.

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    No audio

    Some people I know have also received the same problem you're currently experiencing. It's either the headset is broken, or its a glitch that's happening in-game. I know that some headsets don't work with certain controllers.
