Controller exchange request closed after shipping label made?

When you request a controller exchange, you receive a shipping label within the next 30 minutes of your request that contains all the information you should be aware of regarding the exchange process. All you need to do is print out and stick the label on or on top of the box and follow the instructions on the email. Make sure you are sending the exchangeable unit alone, in your case for example, make sure you are sending the controller alone and no extra accessories. Oh, and if you are wondering, the box could be any kind of box, not necessarily an Xbox box!

Just make sure to read the full email you receive and follow all the steps accordingly.

If you have the shipping label and service request you will need to pack your console (See this guide) making sure you do not send any
of the accessories/controllers or cables with the console. After you have packaged the console along with the service request sheet either contact the shipping agent on the label and request the collect the console directly from yourself or use the website
of the shipping agent to see if there is a local retailer who accepts parcels on behalf of them.

When you complete the repair request process on Xbox.com, it will require that you enter a payment method. You can use a credit card there. After payment has been made, you will get a return shipping label to send the system in.

You can always request a refund.

To request a return or exchange:

• Sign in to Order history, and then select Request a return. ...
• Follow the instructions on the screen to get a prepaid shipping label for the return. ...
• When we receive your item and find it eligible for a return, we'll either ship you a replacement or issue you a refund.

That shouldn't happen.

Please go to
https://devicesupport.microsoft.com and sign up the controller for a repair/replacement.

In order to prepare a repair request, you need to register your console first on that page (if not already done so).

Then select your registered console, and create an online repair request.

Choose from the drop down list, that you have trouble with an accessory, and choose the Elite 2 controller.

Provide the necessary information, and you will get a shipping label sent to your Microsoft Account email.

Print that label, and prepare your controller for shipping as the email explains:

Remove all removable parts from the controller (i.e. paddles, D-Pad and the two sticks) and pack the controller in a box. Attach the shipping label, and contact UPS to schedule a pickup.
