Controller Emulators

Hello,

Recently another competitor of Microsoft announced that controller emulators would no longer work on their consoles. What I want to know is will there be something done on Xbox that will tackle the same issue?

It is extremely frustrating when you are playing in a game that a mouse and keyboard has so much of an impact, especially when playing competitive game modes. It takes the fun away from it and should be treated in the same way that cheating is as it essentially is. There should be more done to prevent the issue especially when other companies are able to do something about it. I want to know others opinions on this and see if I can at least make a small impact on highlighting the issue.

You cannot natively play all games with a non-certified controller. You can still use emulation (third party) control software. You can also use an X360 controller connected to the PC with a USB cable. With emulation software, you can connect any type
of controller (compatible) and map the controls.

Did you try to use the X360 Controller Emulator?

The emulator you're using may be having an issue with Maneater.

Hello, my controller is the generic type, I already uninstalled ds4 and installed it again and the same problem occurred. With the videos that I sent I know that the controller is not the problem as it works fine without the emulation process, I already did some tweaking and found that in ds4 I don't need to emulate my controller to an Xbox 360 controller and instead it just appears as a ps4 controller.

I believe the problem could be that when it emulates the controller it creates the emulated controller while the original controller is connected and with the help of hidehide I was able to hide the original controller so I don't get the same input twice.

I don't know what else could be but I'm going to write this issue to the developer of ds4windows.

IF you have any ideas what could cause this please feel free to reply.

Sure, you can link your Xbox account to Epic Games. But since game is not loading there, let's try this: Instead of using DS4 Emulator, use the X360 Controller Emulator.

After installing and configuring the emulator for Dual Shock 4, repair Maneater:

On the Xbox App, Select the Start button > Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Select the game that's not working, and then select Advanced options under the name of the game. On the page that opens with information about the game, select Repair.

After repairing the game, see if it works with the X360 Controller Emulator.
