Controller duplicating inputs (Only on Xbox Dashboard)

I got a Xbox Elite controller around 4-5 months ago. It worked fine and I enjoyed the extra accessibility and options it had. However, as of around a two weeks whenever I start roaming the Xbox dashboard it randomly starts duplicating inputs. So if I press
A to open an app, it presses it twice and doesn't let me open it. If I move left or right one press on the D-pad (or analog stick) it goes 2 or 3 moves over. So why is this post in Console/Device? Well after playing with it a little bit, I realized it only
occurs (duplicating inputs) when I'm using the wireless mode. If I use a micro USB cable, it doesn't duplicate my inputs and I can prance around the dashboard with ease. My micro USB cable is like a foot though, so it's not a practical solution. My overall
question: How do I fix this problem?

Note_1: My controller and Xbox console are both as up to date as they can as of today, June, 19th, 2018.

Note_2: I have other friends who have also said they have this problem and they do not own the elite controllers.

Note_3: I have reset my console (holding the power button until it resets) countless amounts of time, nothing has changed the intervals of when this problem does/does not happen.

Note_4: The second reason I believe this may be a console problem (but who knows it could be the controller) is whenever I spam the A button until it lets me into a game or app, there is no duplicated inputs. It only occurs in the Xbox Dashboard (usually
when I first start up the console) but sometimes it happens after playing a game and I want to go to a party. So even if a game is in the background (after I press the Xbox button on the controller) sometimes it will start duplicating my inputs and going all
over the place.

Note_5: I have my Xbox one on the eco-friendly mode. So whenever it starts up it takes extra time.

Note_6: I have sifted and tried most of the solutions posted on the Xbox website. So odds are, I've tried it. This includes most obvious solutions such as new batteries, powering off and on console, etc.

Note_7: I do have access to Xbox dashboard updates before most people. I can't exactly remember why, my friend some time ago sent me this thing and now my dashboard updates prior to others. I can't really explain more than that because I don't know anything
about it, but it's called something along the lines of "Xbox one preview."

Note_8: My console was also just recently bought, around the time of my tax return (2-3 months ago), so I'm currently on the Xbox One S variation of the Xbox One "series."

Xbox One freezes

If I walk away from my Xbox One for ~10 minutes - long enough that the controller light turns off - when I come back the screen is frozen. After I turn the controller back on I lose all input - game buttons don't work (in this case FIFA 14), the dashboard
button, etc. My only recourse is to do a hard reboot.

This has only been happening within the last two weeks or so, and it doesn't happen every time I leave my Xbox One unattended.

Any ideas?

When on the Xbox Dashboard, press the guide button in the middle of your controller and select Download Profile. Then input the Windows Live ID and Password that you used to create the Xbox.com Account and it will begin to download onto your console.
