Controller drift. Is anyone from the Xbox division of Microsoft working on this for real??

I bought 2 Elite controllers at the same time from Microsoft. Less than 5 months the first one had button issues and stick drift. Microsoft offered replacement. Just sent it and the second started with the exact same problems, LB not working Stick drift
Microsoft says too bad no warranty. 5 months old and $500 for 2 controllers. I have made several requests and keep being told they are not under warranty. Can anyone help?

I've had 5 xbox 1708 controllers and they all started to developed stick drift in less than a year. Some on the right stick some on the left. I can tell you that they didnt develop drift when I was casual gamer. It happened when I started playing daily. Battle royales because you are constantly using the sticks. Dont let ANYONE tell you its from abuse. The sticks are bezeled and they limit the range of motion you can apply. So cranking on them does not damage them. This is from poor design. There's a component that works with the y and x axis on both sticks and it fails with usage. If you notice sometimes they drift without being touched and sometimes they stop drifting for a bit. Connect one to your PC and you can see the drifting problem in real time. Its a design flaw and I think its unique to the Microsoft controllers.

After my first controller failed and I read about drift I bought a 2nd one and insured it for $8 and after that I just use the policy to get refunded. Also, good news for you is that you get the controller December so its probably still under the warranty of your credit card/debit card and you dont even know it. Read up and if it is just get a new controller and file your claim. Sorry I dont have better news for you

I just got a Xbox controller for Christmas. And as soon as I connected it to my Xbox it had drift on the right joystick. I opened the controller right from the box and didn’t get any dust of anything like that near it but still it drifts. I wanted a new Xbox controller because my old controller had drift. Crazy how out of the box it already has drift.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck with Xbox One controllers, I've gone through a few myself but usually after plenty of game time. I've got no real complaints about the controllers aside from stick drift, but that affects pretty much all controllers for
all platforms. The Xbox One controller (and the Elite) are hands down my two favourite controllers on the market. Nothing else comes close for me.
