    Controller double presses buttons issue


    Hi,

    Ever since I got the new xbox, I have been having issues with my controller double pressing buttons when I press on it once. It's not much noticeable in games but really annoying when typing, especially when typing passwords, coz you can't always see what you typed. Like when I use my controller to type, I click on "A", and I look at the screen and I see "AA".

    Does anyone else have this issue? If it's just me, then maybe I have a faulty controller. It's a brand new controller tho, so I didn't think it would be faulty.

    I’ve tried on a few games and I notice my sensitivity feels different from last time, I don’t know if that means anything. I notice it a lot more when I am on YouTube or other video streaming apps. Sometimes the bar won’t disappear when I press B, or when I push my joystick up. I have tried to uninstall the Xbox accessories app, but I don’t get the option to uninstall. Should I buy a new controller?

    Hi there Angry welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Have you tried uninstalling and installing the accessories app? Also, does this happen on all games?

    You can indeed, if you double tap the circular Xbox button on the controller, it gives you the option to "Press X to Record That" or "Press Y to Take a Screenshot".

    Well, I got desperate and tried my last resort. I tried a fresh install of windows. Whatever caused the issue was something software wise. Though I checked a lot I couldn't find the solution.

    For those reading this, not what I'd recommend doing, but it has solved my issue for now.
