Controller doesn't power on

    Controller doesn't power on


    I have an Xbox Series X controller. The white one that comes with the Series S, I just bought it separately, had it for about a year and it was working fine. Plugged it into my laptop and when I went to plug it back into my xbox it doesnt work. It's not the batteries I've changed them and have rechargeable battery packs also. It will work as normal if it is plugged in with a cable but not wirelessly

    Thank you for the detailed information and I apologize for the trouble. While the controller is plugged in directly on your console please perform a powercycle by following the steps below:

    "1. Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds, until the controller turns off.

    2. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on."

    If that still didn't work, I apologize but we may need to get the controller repaired/replaced.

    Firmware is updated. It does not turn on at all wirelessly. But it works normally with a wire

    Hi TJColeman1, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Please check if there is an update for your controller by following the steps below:

    "1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & streaming > Accessories, and then select the controller you want to update.

    2. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.

    3. If it says “Update,” select Firmware version, and then follow the steps provided."

    If that didn't work, I would like to clarify, when you try to turn it on wirelessly is it blinking or not turning on at all?

    Powercycling it with the xbox button seems to have fixed the issue as you suggested. Thank you for the replies and service
