  1. Controller disconnecting when turning off headset

    Good evening (in the uk)

Recently bought a new headset the steelseries arctis 9x. However I’m having problems with it, it’s all connected etc so issues there. The issue is I turn it off then then my series x off. But then without pressing anything the Xbox will come back on again? And the controller won’t connect to it. So I have to hard reset the Xbox and connect the controller to the Xbox again by linking them both. Any ideas what it could be??

xbox one controller disconnects when mic/ stereo adapter plugs in.

I'm having the same problem using the chat headset that came with it. I was playing Advanced Warfare and the controller disconnected. Would not turn back on even with new batteries. Finally disconnected headset and it came on. Tried plugging in via usb.
Works without headset. As soon as I plug the headset the controller turns off and will not turn back on. Have tried resetting xbox one, unplugging it and updated the firmware in the controller. None of it fixed the problem.

If it's on a seperate Quadrant, than yes, it will stay on.. But, if it is assigned to a specific controller quadrant, than it will turn off or lose sync with the controller..

Plus, if you insert a wired headset to a controller, that has a assigned wireless headset, the wireless headset disconnects...

anyone help me my wireless headset is stuck on port 2 and wont sync to port 1

Turn off and disconnect all controllers from the Xbox 360 and disconnect the wireless headsets from the controllers.

Connect the wireless headset to the Xbox 360 using the USB cable. Turn on the wireless headset.

Sync the headset to quadrant 1 by pressing the "Connect" button on the on the Xbox 360. Then press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset for two seconds. Do not continue to press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset, as this will change the
quadrant to which it is connected. If the headset now works without the controllers attached, the problem must be with one of your controllers. If the headset still does not work, then the problem is with the headset.

Wired controller keeps disconnecting after every arm movement

    Greetings Sly Impact.

I'm sorry that you are facing problems with your controller. Please let me try to help you.

Please try to follow the steps listed bellow and see if you can solve the problem.

    Solution 1: Restart your console
Turn your console off, wait a minute, and then turn it on again.

Disconnect and reconnect the controller's USB connector is firmly to the console connector. If this does not solve the problem, your controller will need to be replaced.

Solution 2: Disconnect all controllers and headsets
If all four rings surrounding the power button on the console are green but the controller has four flashing green lights, four controllers might already be connected to the console. Disconnect all of the controllers, and then try to connect the controller
    with the problem.

    • To disconnect a wireless controller, press and hold the Xbox Guide button for three seconds, and then turn the controller off.
    • To disconnect a wireless headset, turn the headset off.
    • To disconnect a wired controller or headset, unplug its cable from the console.
To learn more about connecting your wireless controller, please read the following Knowledge Base article:

If your controller is still not working, try the next solution.

    Solution 3: Replace your controller
If your controller still does not work correctly, it might need to be replaced. Please contact Xbox support at the following address:
