Controller disconnecting and console freezing every time I open the home screen

I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you I did an internal search on the Microsoft forum and found a publication by Gerardo C., an independent advisor, where he suggests the following to solve the problem:

To rule out a failure in the Console Software, please try to solve the problem by doing the following procedures:

1. With the Xbox on, press the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off completely.

2. Unplug the power cord from the console and wait 30 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cable to your console and turn it on normally.

4. Check if the problem persists, if so, please reset your console to its factory settings keeping your games and applications as follows:

Go to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset Console > Reset and keep games and apps.

This way your console will be reconfigured and you will have to add your account again. No game or application will be deleted, nor will you lose the progress of any game since these are saved in the Xbox Cloud.

5. Check if the problem continues.

I've been having a similar problem the last few days. While playing a game I might go to the Home screen using the Home button on the controller. The system goes to the Home screen and freezes. I cannot select the game or move around the dashboard, but I
can hold the Home button and it goes to the "Console Off/Controller Off" screen, and then freezes on that screen. Hard resets will reset the dashboard, but it doesn't stop it from happening again. Once while playing a game, the game music continued playing,
but the Home screen was still frozen. This is irritating and I'm sick of tolerating it.

Try shutting down and restarting

Same problem except that I have to unplug power supply to unlock home screen and restore function to controller. No Error code, just freezes at home screen.

Disconnecting/re-connecting the controller un-freezes the game, but doesn't prevent the game from freezing the next time the inventory is opened.

[/quote]I disconnected my controller so the screen prompt would go away, then I exited my game without saving. Started a new world to see if it worked and it did. I've started a few new worlds and haven't run back into the glitch. I didn't save or reload
the same world... Very odd glitch.
