    Hey everyone,

    I've been experiencing a recurring issue with my Xbox Series X where the controller disconnects at seemingly random times during online play sessions. This has been happening across multiple games, so I don't think it's game-specific. I've tried switching to a different controller, but the problem persists. Both controllers are up-to-date with the latest firmware.

    I've ensured that the console is in a well-ventilated area and not overheating. The battery levels are full, and I've even tried using a wired connection, but the disconnection issue still occurs. It becomes really frustrating, especially during intense online matches.

    Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions on possible solutions or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Vanguard Controller issue ...

    Connecting the controller with a USB cable doesn't work,

    Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

    I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

    I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

    I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

    What doesn't my stupid controller work or play when it plugged in the wall but as soon as you plug it In to the xbox it works!!!!!¿¿¿ makes no sense bc the xbox gets it power from the wall

    Hi,

    If you're attempting to do what I think you you are, it won't work. As soon as you connect a cabled Xbox One or Series X|S controller to a different USB connector it will try to data sync/connect to that device and will disconnect from the previous device. This is why it is recommended that you charge the controller during play directly with the console.

    I understand that while you are in the process of updating your Xbox, the controller disconnects, causing the update to pause.



    I'm wondering if the Xbox controller is automatically hibernating because it hasn't been operated in a while?



    If you don't feel any problems with your Xbox or Xbox controller after the update is complete, then you can stop worrying about the Xbox becoming damaged.



    In the meantime, you can connect your Xbox to your Xbox controller with a cable to avoid hibernation of your Xbox controller when updating.

    Controller keeps disconnecting

    Some times both consoles are turned on at the same time but it happens when only one is on as well

    Yes both share same network

    All 4 controllers are normal xbox one controllers

    They disconnect when playing online and offline games

    No pc games

    First started happening maybe In September

    Also I have a Xbox series X In a Third room that has no issues

    When will the Xbox Series X Controller Firmware get fixed?

    I'm playing on a PC, this isn't a Forza issue, it's a Windows/Firmware/Compatibility issue, the controller disconnects even if i'm not in any games.
    A lot of people have this issues on PC, for some it works fine in some games, and in others it keeps getting disconnected, and for most it just disconnects regardless of game or not.

    It's been an issue since Xbox One controllers, and day Series X
