We understand the inconvenience caused. As per description, you encountered issues with your controller connected to PC. It is not responding after 2 hours of usage. Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern. However, before we proceed, we would like to ask few questions about it.

1. When did the issue start?
   
2. Is this a newly bought controller?
   
3. What troubleshooting have you tried so far?
   

So far, from the details you provided, you can try the following steps and let us know the result. You can just skip those you have done already.

• Update Xbox Controller - Update your Xbox Wireless Controller | Xbox Support
  
• Update the driver using driver easy
  
• Update Xbox accessories app. - Xbox Accessories - Microsoft Store Apps
  
• Try connecting the controller to another PC/device, such Mobile or console and see if the problem still persists.
  

If it doesn't work, it really means that something internally has been damaged, and repair will be necessary. Request an Xbox controller replacement | Xbox Support

Yes,

Under Human Interface Devices, as Xbox One Wireless Controller. This is when connected with the Microsoft wireless USB dongle.

I’ve also seen the controller under game controllers when initially connected via Bluetooth. But I abandoned using it via Bluetooth with my windows 10 pc. Only wireless adapter now.

What operating system are you running? You can only connect the controller via bluetooth on Windows 10.

On 8.1 and below the PC will see the controller but be able to use it, for wireless use you'll need the official dongle.
