    Controller Audio not going through headphones


    My headphones will not play sound through them from my Xbox One controller. This has just happened randomly, and they have been working fine as of two days ago. It is not the headphones, as I have tried many different pairs with the same result, making it
    the controller. The sound comes out of my TV speakers fine.

    How to use headphones only for sound

    I want to be able to plug in my headphones into the audio jack on my Xbox one controller and hear sound through my headphones only, everytime i plug in my headphones into the controller the sound comes through the headphones themselves and the tv speakers,
    how do i change that? Thanks

    Just got the new xbox one controller from UPS today with 3.5mm jack

    When you use this controller with a headset/headphones, is the game audio preset to come through headset/headphones or just party chat....or both?

    they are the same as the standard xbox one s controllers, so with pc you can use via bluetooth(audio through headphone jack not supported)

    or wired(supports audio via headphone jack)

    Could you please share more information about your audio setup?

    Is your console connected to an audio receiver, or is it connected directly to the TV? Are you using an external soundbar, or the TV's built in speakers?

    If you plug in headphones to your controller (if you have a newer controller with 3.5mm headphone jack), do you hear sound from the controller, if you go to the audio settings and use headphone sound?

    Is there a way to get audio through the controller without using Bluetooth for the series X controller on a Samsung TV?

    I believe that Xbox controllers only transmit and receive audio through the Xbox wireless signal and not via Bluetooth. If using Bluetooth to connect the controller, you need to use a different method for audio. Wired controllers and controllers connected with the Microsoft wireless dongle can use the headphone jack for audio.

    Check your console's audio settings and be sure that it's set to put out audio through the headphones. It sounds like it's a console-wide/account setting or a error, not an issue with the controller or the headset.

    Are you using headphones?. If so, go to audio settings and make sure that your volume level is up. If it doesnt show audio settings under the setting wheel tab then it's a problem with either your controller jack or your headphones
