    Ok so I have a controller that has had problems for a while but that’s not the problem here. So I still use the controller it just needs to be connected so no big problem. but just yesterday on 3/2/2023 the controller was disconnecting and not staying connected even while it is connected through a wired connection directly to the Xbox, and today I tried it again same problem only that now today 3/3/2023 I am playing with the controller and it was having the same issues not a big deal I wasn’t worried just kept playing only later on in my game session when the controller disconnected I tried to reconnect it only to have the Xbox turn off as soon as power gets to the controller at first I thought it was a connection issue with the Xbox so I tried it 2 more times to confirm that, that is the issue and it in fact is and would like to know a solution for it please and also the controller problem on what could be the issue and may I mention that the controller does not turn on with batteries in it and I have to hold the power button to make it turn on and as soon as I let go the controller turns off and would like to know what could be causing it? I also have video of the console turning off when the controller gets power through the cord

    Well what kind of controller is this is it the original Xbox one controller or 3.5mm controller? If it is the original Xbox one controller it might be the controller malfunctioning with your Xbox because they are outdated.

    Hey David,

    First thing that comes to mind would be Using co pilot along side the adaptive controller. Co- pilot allows 2 different controllers to control player one,
    And it works perfectly along side the adaptive controller. Aside from that, here are some helpful links to check out if you haven't already :

    I wish you could use a Xbox 360 controller on the Xbox one controller. I like my
    Xbox 360 controller more then my Xbox one controller. i don't think anyone(Microsoft of controller
    manufacturers) will do Backward compatible controllers.
