Controller acting like a mouse on windows 11?

This question was asked back in 2019 - it referred to windows 10- this issue is still an issue "I've looked for hours and literally nothing pops up. Any known fix? Basically my controller acts like a mouse, kinda annoying when playing fifa and ****" and yes it is kinda annoying.

Niether HID compliant mice had "location set as AlphaMouse" I am getting this issue playing rocket league (via epic) so the steam method would not work for me.

It's doing it again. It's been roughly a month and this thread is pretty much dead.

    Hello Kyo

    • What Controller model are you using?
      • Xbox Wireless Controller Model:1914
    • Does the phenomenon only exist in Rocket League?
      • Probably- after RL didn't work I just gave up
    • Is the problem a recent phenomenon?
      • No this has happened (it's been a while, honestly don't know when it started)
    • Were there any special events in the device before the problem occurs?
      • Not to the best of my knowledge (most recently is a definite no the times in the past I doubt, it's possible though)

Switching on the controller now, moving the right analog does not move the mouse, RL plays as expected, no special events have occurred since yesterday- but given I have had this issue before I foresee it occurring again. Sadly I have no idea how to replicate the problem

Controller acting like a mouse on windows 11?

    Hi KidSeven7,

Thank you for getting back to us.

The available information (for example, the problem does not occur with a fixed frequency) seems to point this issue to the firmware of the Xbox Wireless Controller product.

The Xbox support team may have more comprehensive insight into Xbox Controller products.

We will move this thread to a more appropriate category, that is Xbox.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation!

    Best Regards,
