    Controller acting as mouse on Fortnite


    I have Fortnite through epic games on windows 11 and the game is detecting my ps5 controller as a mouse. I tried going through device managers and disabling the HID complaint already with no luck. Also the mouse will not let the joysticks move and my bumpers don’t really work either they skip over tabs and what not. Plus sometimes I see the controls switch between a ps5 and Xbox controller.

    In the Steam app, go to settings, then look for "Controller". Once you're there, you should be able to disable Steam input for all controllers.

    Or any sort of software that turns gamepad input into keyboard and mouse?

    If you've disabled Playstation Controller Support specifically, there's still a chance that Steam Input is enabled. If it's disabled, then I have no further advice than to check for other software that could be switching your gamepad input.

    It's possible that Steam could be the problem. Have you checked your settings to see if Steam Input is enabled?
