Controlled folder Access blocked Starfield.exe for changes.

- What is the exact error message that you see when the pop up says Unauthorized changes blocked?

- Have you installed any mods or third-party software that may affect the game files or settings?

- Have you tried running the game as an administrator or in compatibility mode?

the game does not have options to change the language. There is a file for that, but Microsoft has blocked access to that folder

Try this

Go to settings, then to Update and Secuity, to Windows Security, to Virus & threat protection and scroll down to Ransomware protection and choose manage ransomware protection. Choose the link, allow an app through Controlled folder access and add the launcher. It's also possible to add the launcher if it's under Block history link.

I had the same thing until I took control of the Windows Apps folder. By default, this folder is set to the TrustedInstaller. After I took control of the folder any changes I made to the seemed to stay. This sounds like the game can't save the config unless
the folder is under your control
