in order to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to a PC you will require a wireless receiver, the 360 controllers do not support bluetooth.

I think the reason they discontinued it was because people were using it on PC's and they some how figured it would lower sales on XBOX or something insane like that. There was really no good reason to discontinue it. To this day people are making mods for
PC games so that wired controller can still work. Someone just sent me a mod to use the XBOX wired controller with Kerbal Space Program so yeah.. Why not sell it? Competative gamers use wired controllers and since it was USB it could plug into any PC. Makes
no sense to me.

I like both. I like xbox because I'm used to a controller, but PC games are good because they have mods and I like a lot of mods.
