Control Ultimate Edition crashes often :(

Thanks I have found that the shutting down and unplugging it has worked on fixing my controller and the crashing problem most of the time it's still crashes occasionally but less often

As a quick little bump, did you check Gears of War: Ultimate Edition's 'Ready to install' list for any pending DLC that needs to be installed? To find this, highlight the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition tile, press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller
and select 'Manage game'.

Additionally, are you able to search for the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Character Pack on the Xbox Store to download?

I have the same issue. Game keeps returning to dashboard. Bought ultimare edition download code from microsoft. Have undertaken a cold start, uninstalled and reinstalled. Even bought a new external hard drive and reinstalled but still crashing. Paid £89
for ultimate edition, unplayable. Any ideas welcomed.

If you have pre-ordered the ultimate edition, then you should get the ultimate edition. The ultimate edition of the game does include the standard edition of the game, and any extras that is included with the ultimate edition. This is probably why it shows the standard edition as pre-ordered.

be sure to check if any DLC that is included in the Ultimate version is installed or not. The game itself may say it's standard but if the DLC etc included in the bundle is installed (or is available to install) then it's likely the intended way.
Often the ultimate edition is a bundle of the standard edition, but with the DLC included aswell, it just needs to be installed, if not automatically installed.

You can use the manage game option to check if any DLC included is installed or not.

So according to that link it's both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S game and some incentive
