    Control issues with the Assassin's Creed I + Brotherhood games I bought off the Xbox Live ...


    I bought Assassin's Creed I and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood off the Xbox Live marketplace the other day and have run in to a lot of control problems. For starters, I can't hold down R1 to go in to 'high-profile mode' - instead I have to press the Start
    button and exit off the screen, where the character's stuck in High-profile mode until I advance to a new area/storyline etc. which means I can't even get past the tutorial for Assassin's Creed 1. In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, I need to press the Xbox
    Home button to shoot a cannon, then quit the menu that comes up. I can't make it past the 'Desmond Miles, Present Day' sequence because Desmond repeatedly pushes the lever and I can't even get him away from it. I'm not sure how to fix any of these issues.

    Please help. (Also, ignore my gamer-tag on this website, it isn't my real one xD)

    What games are you playing?

    Assassin's Creed II, because it is undoubtedly the best Assassin's Creed game ever made (and has the best story of the 3 Assassin's Creed games IMO). After playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood I couldn't believe how much more fluid the movement is in Assassin's
    Creed II (at least to me). It's like they went backwards with Brotherhood.

    After I get bored with Assassin's Creed II, who knows. I might switch over to my Gamecube and play Twilight Princess some more, or I may go rent Red Dead Redemption and finish my playthrough with that one. Truly a remarkable game.

    Original Assassin's Creed STILL beautiful

    After completing Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood I went back to the original Assassin's Creed with a whole new perception on things and realized that graphically the game still holds up.
