Contorller's warranty was removed after repairs

Hello.

My Xbox Elite 2 Controller was on 2-year warranty until the middle of 2025. Recently I had some issues with it and had sent it for repairs. During the service the controller was removed from the list of my devices. When I've got it back and used its serial number to add it to the list of my devices I saw that 2-year warrantty was repalced with 1-day warranty, which has expired before the device was delivered back to me. Can I have the original 2-year warranty back and what do I need to do to get it?

In my opinion, I believe that the warranty displayed is determined solely based on its serial number and therefore the date of production or commercialization.

I had an issue with an Xbox accessory too, and the warranty expiration date was significantly earlier than the actual two-year period from the purchase. You should contact Xbox support; they will ask you to send a copy of the purchase document, and once verified, your actual warranty will be validated. To share my experience, it took about a week from the request to see the update on my account.

My Xbox is still under warranty that the controller came with, but I saw another post that said its only 90 days on contorllers?

Thanks for the reply.

I know my warranty says its ended June 2019, I just feel annoyed that as the console failed within 6 months and has failed again with the same issue that it should have been replaced in the first place not repaired. I will speak to customer service tomortow
in the hope a repair won't cost me as much as a new unit.

if i'm not mistaken the warranty that came with the Xbox is the only guaranty you get until it expires

so if it breaks 20 time withing the duration of it then Microsoft will repair it as long as the warranty is not expired and the issue is covered by it
