    Contacting seller for another region redeem code


    Okay, so a friend of mine from Destiny 2 decided to buy me Destiny 2 Beyond Light and this friend lives in the UK and any time I put in the code it says different region and I've looked at tons of questions about this to see if anyone is having a similar
    problem and I found several but they mention contacting the seller, so I'm curious is how does one contact the seller and who would the seller be that needs to be contacted and do I have to contact the seller or does he need to do it?

    Also I don't know what category this would be in.

    Ban and suspension

    I recently purchased a game code from a seller but the code was from another region so the seller told me to use VPN to redeem it but now I fear that my account or console might be suspended. I have not use VPN on my console, i just connect my mobile to VPN and redeemed my code from Microsoft Store website.Can somebody tell me what to do?
    The only fix would be to get a refund from the seller and purchase a code thats actually meant for your region.

    Prepaid code wont work

    Hi there,

    If you were gifted the code or bought the code via an online store, then you will have to contact the seller.

    Codes that are regionally locked can not be redeemed in other regions

    If you are 100% sure the code is universal then it's best to contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat they should be able to check the code.

    Hi Anastasis. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

    I understand how frustrating that must be, you would have to contact the seller for a refund or redeem the code on an account that's set to the correct region. The region of a code cannot be changed.

    I purchase from the Argentina region and I have that set on my console but the mobile app /Desktop set to US by default
