    My brother gifted me an Xbox Live Gold subscription for 3 months and he's currently living in NA and I live in Italy. So, when I tried to enter the code he gave me, I got a wonderful message! Contact the seller to receive a working code in your area or
    something. It says a "seller" even though it's not a seller but just a private person. What should I do? Is there a way to get my money - live back?

    Cant redeem code

    Hi

    So I bought a xbox gold live card 12 months. And when I wanted to redeem the code it said Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region. So I contacted the seller it they said that it was an error with microsoft. Can you please help me as fast
    as possible.

    Sorry as far as I know there is not you can try to go to the store to return the code where it was purchased. But Xbox codes are Country specific so you'll need to buy one from the country you live in for your account. Or have it gifted over the Xbox store
    using the gift option.

    The problem is... he actually used the gift option. He bought the xbox live gold as gift and gave it to me. Now he logged-in with my profile and it seems like i have gold in NA. But still, when i get back into my profile I can't really do much as it says
    I need to buy it.

    As we mentioned the gifting option is only available in the region it was purchaseed in

    You would.have to set your account region ro canada or us to.use the gold membership

    Depending on where he is

    Also changing yoir account region to somewhere you dont live in means you dont qualify for xbox 360 games as many are region locked

    I would recommend contacting support directly. They should either be able to convert the code to one you can use, or refund his purchase if they are unable to do so. The best way to reach them is at support.xbox.com then contact us, Billing, no thanks to
    the virtual assistant, then Option of Other. Then select an option to chat or request a call if available.
