if it were so simple they likely would, but since different regions have different taxes, laws and also pricing it just can't work like that.

Plus it states in the text prior to purchasing a gift that it is region bound.

That depends on where you have purchased the game code for as sometimes third party retailers should verify that for you. In your place I would follow the bot's suggestion and contact the retailer where that game was purchased from.

The only people that would be able to do anything for you would be xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us
