Constantly redirected to support site when trying to access profile settings

I'm trying to change the age on my Xbox Live account since it's saying it's not an adult account so I can't have a custom profile picture or other things. I'm trying to change it by going to xbox.com and going to My Xbox > Profile, but I'm constantly redirected
to:

From there I tried going to Sign in to your Microsoft account, but it once again redirected me back to the support site above. From what I can tell my account is an adult account, but the Xbox app seems to think otherwise.

well what if i cant access my xbox settings it only says error child trying to access settings and redirects me to a page on how an parent can change the settings even when my account is an adult account?...

You can change the birthdate under your profile yet that will not change your xbox child account into an adult account

 

This means your account is a child/teen account. Xbox account age can not be changed as it is permanently connected to the first date of birth entered when creating your microsoft account. This can't be changed even by xbox support. Your account will be
promoted to an adult account when that original birth date reaches 18 (19 in Korea). You can change your microsoft account age but that doesn't change your xbox account age.

If your xbox account is a child/teen account, you will need an adult to create an account, invite you to a family group and change some privacy settings for you - although there is no setting to allow a child to upload a custom gamerpic before they're 18.
