constantly freezing

everytime i start a campaign mission it freezes sumtimes i get to the first checkpoint freezes is this a common problem or is there a easy work around

FREEZING!!!

This game is freezing up constantly. One of my favorites but the freezing is annoying. Please help fix. Oh it is also doing it on Sudoku.

 

This game is seriously injured. I've had freezing, audio silence, and save and quit doesn't always work for me. It won't record mission checkpoints

 

We just started experiencing the freezing, it won't even load custom games for us. I was hoping that this problem would be widespread enough that there would be more posts and some information, but it seems not and we are the early adopters of a broken everything

Update: We just experimented and were able to make it "playable" though that is a loose term. If you go to settings/network/go offline it won't crash the game... but for some reason we aren't unlocking achievements.....(&^^(*&^%&

But we are playing, so there is that. <_<

 

I'm experiencing this issue a ridiculous amount. A buddy and I are trying to do the campaigns on co-op, and it'll just freeze completely when we reach the last moments of a mission. The did a patch today and now it's freezing while the opening cut scenes
are loading. I hope Microsoft fixes this. I was looking forward to replaying all these games and I can barely get through one game without freezing every other mission

 

having the same issue yesterday I was playing halo 3 campaing and the game crash me two times send me back to the dashboard.
