Constant Microsoft Store App update, freezing Xbox One.

Does anyone know why my Xbox keeps updating the Microsoft Store App every few days, often causing everything to freeze and forcing me to clean the memory again, sometimes a full wipe of EVERYTHING! Then, a week later maybe, it does it again!

I have cleared cache, 360 games, all of it, every different "ten second press, reset" whatever.

Any ideas, please? Anyone? Makes no difference if I sit and watch it update, it's still going to happen again.

I have the same problem and I really tried all the steps. Xbox App is broken since last update. There are many reviews on the Microsoft Store about the Xbox App which tell all the same. Games can't be downloaded, App is "freezing"/not loading anything after selecting one game, only can be closed over the task manager.

Microsoft needs to fix it asap.

thanks for responding, um as of now it is still freezing basically as soon as i turn it on. sometimes it doesnt even get past the startup sequence and other times it will be 3 red rings or one with an error code E 79.Also it will sometimes let me start playing
a game for mabe 5 minutes and then freeze.Problem I was having with the update before the freezing were video apps not workin, disconnectivity and constant updates that lasted about 4 minutes and then my xbox would freeze.I could go on and on.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please restart the Microsoft Store by closing the frozen Microsoft Store page.

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

Find Microsoft Store under the Processes tab, select it, and click End Task.

Reopen the Store and retry the game installation.

And then clear Microsoft Store cache. To do this, press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box. Type wsreset and press Enter.

Wait for the command to reset the Store, and it will reopen automatically.

Make sure that your Xbox App and Microsoft Store accounts match because mismatched accounts can cause issues. Open the Xbox App and ensure you’re signed in with the correct Xbox Game Pass account.

And do the same for the Microsoft Store. Open the Store, click your profile icon at the top-right, and sign out. Sign back in using the same account as your Xbox App.

Next is to update the Microsoft Store and Xbox App because an outdated app might lead to freezing issues. Please open the Microsoft Store, go to Library, and check for updates. Update the Microsoft Store and Xbox App if new versions are available.

Then adjust Windows region and language settings. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region. Make sure that your Region is set correctly (e.g., where your Game Pass subscription is active).

After that is to run the Windows troubleshooter. Kindly use the built-in troubleshooter to fix app-related issues. Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters. Select Windows Store Apps and click Run.

A poor connection can cause freezing issues. Test your connection by running a speed test online. If the connection is unstable, restart your router and try again.

It is also important that your operating system is up to date for maximum compatibility. Go to Settings > Windows Update and install any pending updates.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly complete the transaction via a browser by going to Microsoft Store Online.

Log in with your Xbox Game Pass account and purchase for the game then start the installation.
