Constant crashes of Division 2 on Xbox One X

I am wired. Since wiping the console I have tried it both with the external drive attached, and disconnected, with no change.

I experienced this when I first got the game, but I chalked it up to being release problems. Now we're many months / patches later, and I still have the same problem.

The game frequently crashes just after the title screen. It just silently quits, and sends me back to my Xbox home screen. If I launch again, it generally crashes in the same place. Occasionally I'll get into the game, and just after
I select my agent and he appears in the world, it freezes solid for about 20 seconds and then crashes back to the home screen. I can actually get into the game and play after constantly restarting / trying for 20-30 minutes.

I contacted Ubisoft support and they suggested I hard reset my Xbox and if that didn't fix it, uninstall and reinstall the game.

All patches for the Xbox and the game are installed. The network is hard-wired, not wireless.

Things I've tried:

1. Hard reset the Xbox by unplugging the power cord for at least 2 minutes (tried multiple times)
   
2. Uninstall and reinstall the game. (tried multiple times)
   
3. Move the game to the internal hard drive
   
4. Uninstall the game again and reinstall again with the internal hard drive as the default storage location.
   
5. Do an Xbox "Reset" from the system menus, keeping games and data.
   
6. Disconnect the external hard drive.
   
7. Delete local saved data
   

Nothing has helped.

I have an original Xbox One which is not exhibiting the same symptoms. Yes, I'm sure some will say "Aha! You have a bad Xbox. Clearly a hardware problem." However, my Xbox One X does not exhibit this behavior with any other game. Division
1, Fortnite, Destiny 2, AC Origins, Sea of Thieves, NHL 19, Wildlands, etc. None exhibit this behavior.

In looking at other forums, some Xbox One X owners report identical symptoms. Others have no problem.

I have it too in the Xbox One (FAT), so is not a console issue, looks like is game issues. The Division 2 is having issues since the launch. I have crashes, freezes, bugs. Just wait for Ubisoft to fixed them.

I personally think it has something to do with the update. It rarely crashes before this server maintenance.

you tried using another profile on either console to play The Division 2? I would suggest trying that, as well as, doing a

Full Factory Reset of both consoles. I will keep looking into the issue on our side to see if I can find similar issues with the game.
