Console works, but no video!!

After a few hours of playing fallout 4, my xbox did not continue in the loading progress anymore. There was nothing else to do than restarting the xbox. The console started up, however with no video: "no signal". I plugged off all cables and went to bed.

Suprisingly next morning, the xbox showed his normal function and I could play without any trouble.. two hours later then it happened again and yet (two days later) I still have "no signal". What is the problem, do you have any recommendation what to do,
where to fix it? My warranty is gone unfortunately. I would appreciate any kind of help!

No video but audio still works

It could be an issue with the port itself. Ensure there are no debris or build up of dust/dirt in the port

Try booting the console up without the memory device in. It could be corruption in the memory device, this is unlikely it would cause such an issue but it's worth a shot.

E74 error can cause this issue. It is known to be a graphic chip error. It would need a repair. To begin one head to

No video but audio still works

As I was playing a game, the picture went dark but the sound was still working. I've been going over the trouble shooting guide but it hasn't resolved the issue. The cable is a HDMI and I never mess with it. Plugged it into other tvs and even tried
going with just a 3 prong hookup (and yes I did switch to TV on the cord), nothing worked. I must say though, having this system for soo long and this is the first problem with it is amazing, I thought it would only give me 2 years before I got another red
ring again. My original, may it rest in peace, had the red ring so the one I have now is a refurbished console.

Hello,

I would try a hooking up your xbox to a different input on your tv and play on that input for awhile to see if it still occurs. Also try a different cable from your xbox to tv. If those don't work try a hard power cycle by holding down the power button
for 10seconds.

All connection cables will work with all consoles. Just remember to check your video connection settings on the console under the video settings and make sure they are set properly

That's correct, no HDMI port is working for video. When I use the exact same cord and HDMI port with my laptop, the video and sound work fine. So it's got to be an issue with the console, right?

I'd try some basics first.

Power cycle the Xbox - power cycle the Xbox by unplugging the Xbox from the wall outlet and let it sit for about 5 minutes.

Re-seat the HDMI cable on the back of the Xbox and make sure it's in the HDMI OUT port. And re-seat the other end into the TV or try another port on the TV

After that 5 minutes, plug the Xbox back into a wall outlet and try again.

If that fails, the next easiest thing would be to try another HDMI cable from the Xbox to the TV.

If that fails, there's a tricky process to try and reset the video resolution on the Xbox.

If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.
On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.
Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. DO NOT LET GO until
the second beep occurs.
Note This will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, go to
System > Settings in the guide, select Display & sounds, Video options, and then
TV Resolution.

I would try unplugging the cords from both your Xbox and TV, you can use a can of compressed air to blow it out, or just blow in the ends with your mouth, then plug them back in. If that doesn't work, do you have a friend who has an Xbox you can borrow?
If you do try his cords on your TV with your Xbox, to see if it's your cords causing the problem. If it's still responding the same way, try your cords and his Xbox.
