    Console won't update or connect to network


    I have a series x in the preview program, current build is 22621.4824, consoles wants to update to 22621.4828

    I turned the console on today and no internet connection. Verified every other thing in the house was working including another Xbox console. Checked for updates, and saw the console tried to update this morning while off, but failed. Tried updating myself, and am met with no network connection. I can't get wired to work at all, but if i connect wirelessly, it all checks out until I back out of the menu and then it's offline again.

    I dug around on xbox support and found the offline update files, but upon even booting into the recovery/troubleshoot menu, I get a startup error, Upon trying to update, I get: E101 00000504 8B050041

    Anyone have any ideas?

    No, 1st is factory refresh. If the console is connected to the network it will update without usb. The system update via usb OSU1 file is for when the console is not connected to a network and cannot be used if the console is enrolled in a Insider preview.

    No. An account ban only affects the account. A console ban affects the entire console and won't allow the console to connect to the network.

    Because those aren't used trough Xbox live, that's completely normal, the only thing you won't be able to do in the console is connect to the Xbox network, and only the things that need Xbox Network to work won't be available
