console will not recognise disc

No, there is no way to do that. Your only option would be to get another copy of the game on disc, if your disc isn't being recognised by the console.

The disc looks fine, it is still recognised by my console. The issue seems to be that my console doesn’t think I own the game even though i own the disc

Do you own any other Xbox 360 BC game discs are they currently working on your console?

For game to be recognised and download started you must:

• Have working game disc, free from dirt and damage
• Your Xbox One must have a working optical drive

If you don't have any other 360 discs, check if your console can read DVD discs. Place a DVD movie into your console and see if it will play. The disc must be a DVD, not a Blu-ray or Xbox One disc.

If it can recognise other Xbox 360 BC game discs and DVD movies, then the fault must be with that particular disc. If your console can not read any 360 BC disc or DVD's, then you have a faulty console.

Unfortunately I had that same issue, and had to get a replacement console in November 2014. I would have a disc in the drive and it would not recognise it, would then eject the disc and re-insert and would still not work, had to repeat the process at the
very least 6 times before it would recognise the disc. Then one night the disc just jammed in the console and I could not eject it, even with the small button under the side grill. Had to submit a repair request and they sent a brand new console, hope you
haven't got the same problem but it sounds like you may have.

Are you playing with the disc inserted in the console?

Try to launch the game through the disc icon in the main menu of the Xbox, to see if that way the game recognises properly the full license you have.
