Console unable to access internet via wire after 01/02/19 console update and hard reboot

Hi have you tried factory resetting the router and setting it up again. Or Clearing the MAC address on the console?

Thank you everyone for assistance. As it turns out my Verizon Fios router blocked the Xbox after it ran an update on itself. It was hard to see without looking for it. To see it you have to:

1. Log into your Verizon Fios Router

2. Select my network.

3. Find your Xbox and note the status will show as blocked like it does in the picture

4. Under Device Option select Unblock

I am still not sure why this happened I can only note that i now have some sort of Xbox assistant app that was not there before this all happened. Hope this helps someone else Thanks

No. Joining the Dashboard Preview program requires one to install the Xbox Insiders app and then use that to enroll your console in the program.

If you didn't do the above then it's likely that you are on a regular public release of the Dashboard. You can see the version of your Dashboard by going to System - Settings - System - Console info in the OS Version section.

The console gets and sets the time when it connects to the network.

Try going into System - Settings - Network - Network settings - Advanced settings to review and record the Wired and Wireless MAC settings etc (eg take a cellphone pic) in case you need to refer back to them. Do the wired settings look correct to you? Other
things you can try:

• use the Test network connection button to see what it says is wrong with your basic wired connectivity.
• Select Alternate MAC Address and Clear, this will remove any manually set MAC Address and restart the console.

Are you in the Dashboard Preview program? Which ring?

I'm in Alpha ring and we didn't get an update this week, last one was Dec 19, 2018 IIRC.
