Console sync button won't work for Xbox One S

I've had my Xbox One S for a few years and one day the sync button just stopped working. It wirelessly connects still but the sync will not work. Sometimes after I use a wire for a long time it will randomly sync but other that that it won't. Please help.

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your console.

If I understand correctly, your console's sync button no longer works (you can't use wireless controllers) but your console is still able to connect to wireless networks, and you are looking for help with getting the sync button to work again. Would that be correct? If it is, may I ask if the console's power button still flashes when you press the sync button?

I apologize beforehand if my question seems a bit redundant, I just want to make sure I have a good understanding of your situation.

When you say you have done a hard reset do you mean the below steps?

Power down your Xbox One by holding the Xbox button for 10 seconds. Once powered down, hold the sync, eject, and Xbox button on your console until you hear two beeps (around 10 seconds). Release the buttons, and you’ll see a factory reset menu. If you have an Xbox One S without an eject button, the sync and Xbox button will work.

Hey there Billy,

The Bind button is the "sync" button for the controllers, its below the power button on the Xbox One S console. On the original Xbox One it is located on the left of the console next to the disc drive. Check it out and keep us in the loop of how it goes.

Please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down. Then unplug it for 30 seconds. Then hold the Sync button (left side near the USB port on the original Xbox One and just below the power button
on the S and X consoles) and the Eject button for the console then press the power button and hold until you hear a second start up noise.

If you are using the Xbox One All Digital console then you only need to hold the Sync button and then press the power button to reset.

You should now see a new screen. Scroll over to Restart/Reset and reset the console to factory settings. There is an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them and your saves will be safe on the Cloud

Sorry to hear it. Let's try forcing a reset on the console. If this does not work then you may need to set up a repair of the console.
