    Console stuck in 640x480. No way to change, restarts aren't fixing it.


    The system has been quite buggy over time, but this is a new one and first time I've seen this.

    Started up the system 45 minutes ago, worked fine yesterday. Now I'm stuck in 640 by 480, there's no options to change it back to native resolution which is 4K on this TV.

    Sound is off, however audio settings say stereo uncompressed. But there is no sound whatsoever from the OS or the games.

    All video options are off/unavailable.

    Games are running, however when I click on video options there's a noticeable pause. I'm on omega build i think -

    OS 10.0.220000.2285(xb_flt_2109co.210920-1845)

    Last auto updated: 9/22 213am est

    Again otherwise the system seems to be playing as normal. Reseating the HDMI does nothing as well, pops back up in this resolution. Other inputs are working fine in 4k/sound, so it's not the TV.

    Hello, is it with the Xbox one? Have you gone into the console settings for (the notched wheel) to change the image resolution?

    I tried the hard reset, didnt work, I need help cuz this is the only thing I do normally let alone in a lockdown!
    I got it sorted, If anyone else has this problem, go into general settings-> Video fidelity&overscan

    Then change the display from Auto-Detect to HDMI, then you can change your resolution back to 1080p

    Hi Mark. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

    Make sure to set TV connection to Auto detect:

    Go to Settings > General > TV & display options.

    In Video fidelity and overscan, go to overrides and make sure it's set to auto detect. If it's already set to auto detect, try changing it to HDMI.
