    Console streaming test endpoint/low bandwidth workaround


    Long story made short I am trying to re-enable the console streaming option on my One X after seeing a number of recommendations to do so to try and sort out issues with the xCloud streaming app not 'waking up' the Xbox remotely. First time I turned this on was a piece of cake. Now within the past couple days it keeps complaining I don't have enough upload bandwidth.

    Now I know with current happenings there's going to be potential bottlenecks around but am just trying to see if I can pinpoint things. Numerous general speed tests on my connection get my full rated speeds which are 300/30. Watching my router when I do the streaming test I rarely see upload peak above around 3mbit or so.

    The One X is hardwired and all necessary options are toggled including Instant On. The X is sitting behind a switch that my desktop is on where I normally do speed tests from.

    Any thoughts? Any idea what the endpoint is that the Xbox uses for speed tests? Any way to force enable console streaming despite it not seeing enough bandwidth?

    Is There a Minimum Broadband speed to use Twitch with!

    You can also test your internet speed on the Xbox itself in Settings -> Network.

    I think the minimum speed that you can stream at is 800Kbps (Low) and up to 2500Kbps (High). This doesn't take into account the bandwidth to play a game online in addition to streaming. If you don't have enough UP, it will not be possible.

    This is usually caused when you have a low bandwidth. Try going here and testing your speed:

    Solutions:

    - Disconnect all devices (Excluding your Xbox) from your internet when wanting to stream.

    - Ensure that if you are using wireless move closer to the router (If possible)

    - Upgrade to a higher speed internet package. (If possible)

    I too am having the same issue. My original tag is dunnemafia2020 and because of this have racked up a lot of leave mid games and lower kill to death odds. X box is really slacking woth fixing issues they are having. Its not fair to us the gamer. We value
    our records. And if yiur anything like me, people depend in us to be the awesome player wwe are on a day to day basis.... Low bandwidth issue is killi 96th y respect for microsoft hands down

    As long as they are on the same network you should be able to stream just fine. As long as the network bandwidth is good enough. May want to run a test.
