Console Streaming Question

Discus and support Console Streaming Question in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; So I had to leave my X1X in KY when coming to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving and I went to stream.     Console Streaming Question


    So I had to leave my X1X in KY when coming to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving and I went to stream. The stream loads up and I can see my console home screen but nothing works other than being able to press the home button which does what it should, just no other buttons or analog sticks work. Anyone have any ideas? I am in Alpha Skip Ahead, is there an option I am not seeing to remotely reboot my Xbox?

    Thank you for replying - but that link is for mobile devices specifically, not Windows 10 devices, which is what the OP was asking about.

    Currently, the Xbox Console Companion streaming still works on Windows 10. The reason OP was asking about the Xbox app on Windows 10 is because the Xbox Console Companion app is prompting users to install the Xbox app, which does not have streaming support.
    I know that there is supposed to be a new Console Streaming app on Windows 10 later this year, but it is not available yet. I was just clarifying that for the OP and anyone else asking the same question about the new app, since I came here with the same question.

    You can stream from your PC using the Xbox media center. Its not perfect but it works well enough to stream content stored on your PC.

    Network Attached Storage [NAS], uses Ethernet to stream from router & the USB port for connecting or transferring data from another HDD &/or connecting to a computer etc.. Unless you buy an expensive stand-alone model, that can work independantly from a
    computer [Has own CPU etc]... You'll need to hook the NASD to a computer, for it to be controlled or streamed to any other device... [Netgear RNDU6320]

    The USB port or WIFi Dongle on/for a router is for PC Connection only & you will need Windows Media Center to stream etc...
