    Console Streaming Power On/IR blaster


    Hi I'm wondering if console streaming is supposed to power on a console currently off but in instant on mode? I assumed that's why it was a requirement? I can't find an answer either way. Ive tried it a few times now but it didn't work I was sat in front of it trying to test if it switched the TV on via the IR blaster while using console streaming.

    ^^^ YEP ^^^ Major Nelson put it very well by saying that your current TV remote is powered by 2 AA batteries, so the IR blaster in that isnt particularly powerfull, the IR blaster in the Kinect runs off the mains, so its going to be a lot more powerfull.

    Kinect setup correctly, RF signal just can't reach devices.

    get a set of IR blasters it really helps with that.$7.99 on amazon for a three way IR blaster

    CAn you INSERT something else in the HDMI IN hole in the back of XBOX ONE ???

    Your laptop needs an IR port (and/or a external ir blaster plugged into the xbox one that is sitting in front of the computer ir port) in order for the console to control it.

    The Slingbox comes with an IR blaster. SlingPlayer clients allow remote connections to send remote signals via the IR blaster.
