Console sensitivity Xbox Series X

After the last update I started having controller drift in game. Swapped out the controller that came with the system for my old Xbox one controller and still had the same issue.

In the home menu screen the sensitivity would cause scrolling to skip tiles making it difficult to select. Would get the same effect no matter which controller I would use.

I've factory reset my system(not carrying over my games or settings).

I've used batteries & cable connection for both controllers with the same results.

Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, how would I fix this or is it just an issue with the last update on the console?

System is Xbox series X halo edition with latest firmware.

I had a third controller that I used primarily on my PC that has not been updated. Connected it to the series x and have no issues at all. Seems the latest controller firmware is a bust. I can use my old controller for the time being. Won't be able to use the two other controllers until a new firmware update rolls outs and pray it fixes the issue. Thanks for the help.

Did all of that and still received the 'Something went wrong. Your controller is already up to date.' on the PC. There doesn't look to be any option to revert firmware on the Xbox series x controller. Did Microsoft remove the option to downgrade firmware recently?

Hey, went through the process on the series x and when I made it to check firmware I received a 'something went wrong. Your controller is already up to date' message instead of allowing me to revert firmware.

So, this started to happen after a controller firmware update?
If yes, can you try downgrading the firmware to see if that helps?

Hi, sorry to hear that.
In some cases the downgrade firmware doesn't work with all the controllers. It depends on the model and firmware version

In this case please report this problem to the Xbox team.

Hopefully a fix is going to be released as soon as possible.
