    Console renaming itself randomly?


    So I noticed something odd this afternoon. I was trying to play the Outriders beta and was running into some issues there. I went to the console Info page in the settings to get my OS and version numbers to submit an issue and I noticed that my XSX had changed its name from when I had set my console up back to its default XBOX name. Anyone else have this happen? Wonder if this happened when I enrolled this console into the insider program. This never happened with either of my x1x’s or x1.

    Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

    - Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    - Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    - Select Reset console.

    - Choose Keep Games and Apps

    Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

    Did you try another power power source to see if that is... if not then you might have. a defective console... try to reach support to see what can be done in your case!?!?
