how are they going to get more money if they stop cross play

I would sign up again for Xbox Gold (dropped first time since Nov. 02) and pay 4x the monthly rate for this feature. It would bring back Xbox fans that dropped the consoles due to forced crossplay. It is the #1 issue plaguing this generation console.

think, what about the advantages the series x users get over xbox one, as SX gets higher frame rate, keyboard and mouse support is available on console too,

This is why people bought the new generation consoles to get those features. This is the same as it has always been - HALO 2 worked with the original Xbox, but was a much better experience on 360. Players drop $1k on a new console, new HALO game, and controllers. In the past even buying a new TV would occur. This was expected for the HALO experience on Xbox.

the last update is near enough it for the game, 343 is in tatters, they have lost a lot of staff, they have primarily given up on infinite now and are looking at a new halo game, this is common knowledge across all gaming news.

With every update, the game runs worse than the beta. The latest update removes network statistics during gameplay. Even though there is an option to select it, it doesn't turn on. Nearly half the weapons still don't work against PC players. 50% weapons either do no damage or minimal. 50%! Players were charged a full price for a game that wasn't complete but since it was a Microsoft backed studio along with being the flagship franchise - there was leeway given. Now that it has been abandoned without being completed - a refund only make sense. There is minimal reason to buy an Xbox if HALO isn't there. Better experience on PC and better value on Playstation. At this point the current generation is just a retro machine for 360 and Xbox One games.

Game consoles should never be placed in the same category as PC's or you will be in for a very long day. Home consoles are home entertainment systems designed strictly for gaming and entertainment. They are NOT PC's and should NEVER be compared or looked at as one. Consoles will not allow players to manipulate game data or alike while PC's do (obviously violating policies so players risk their purchases and accounts). This will go without saying, of course.

If you wish to get the same benefits as PC, i urge you to move to the PC platform but the game you purchased was for the exact platform you purchased it for so you wont have the functions or abilities as PC because you are not using PC. However, if you suspect any player of cheating, please report those players, my friend.

you have also got to look at player base, on pc the numbers that play online are down in the very very low thousands, on xbox its even less so if they do a hard split then on console you will struggle to get full lobbies, and pc would be in the same boat as halo infinite basically sucks, but you can select which player base you want to play with on halo infinite so you are not forced on that game to play with pc players.

Also about charging console players to play online, it is because they can, on pc they tried in the past and did not work as we just purchase and play games from other stores as pc is an open market.

I agree that consoles are not in the same category as PCs. But Microsoft does not agree with that sentiment as they have forced crossplay with no option to turn this off. Compounding the problem is that Xbox Live is essential free for PC players while charging console players. So players using 3rd party code to alter the games that violate the policies in place, the workarounds are using multiple accounts, NICs, and VPNs. Since accounts are free, if one is flagged, another can be created. This can be seen in the correlation between modders and accounts with gamerscores and games played in triple digits.

The reporting system does not work like it did in the 00's. Even if video evidence is provided along with a players multiple accounts - nothing is done.
