Console Rebooting

Discus and support Console Rebooting in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; About every 3rd time I turn console on (using the controller) it begins to start then shuts off.     Console Rebooting


    About every 3rd time I turn console on (using the controller) it begins to start then shuts off. Then when I power it back on it reboots.

    After that it runs without issue Any ideas?

    Console Rebooting

    Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the drive shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back into the console and power up the console. Once the console is fully
    operational try connecting the HDD. Let us know. Good Luck!

    Sorry for the delay in my reply.

    The issue still exists with the console. It seems about ever 3rd to 4th time I start the console is shuts down. I then restart the console at which time it reboots to the xbox home screen instead of going directly to television.

    Hi Weezer,

    I've seen someone else have a very similar issue, they resolved it by performing a factory reset.

    It's a good idea to have an exturnal HDD to put you stuff on before doing the reset to save having to download everything again.

    You can get to the factory reset button from the settings menu.

    I did a factory reset and set my options back to instant on and have not had the problem.

    Console reboots randomly

    I've played those games and it's not rebooting itself with them. Then again, the reboot is a rare thing and I don't enjoy the other games quite as much right now. I first thought about it being the game that's causing this but first the demo and now the
    full game? And no-one else is reporting this?
